Course outline
Due to the effects of COVID-19, we are currently not holding any public moss art classes.
For those who contact us individually, we will rent out Moss Art Studio (Kitaibaraki City) exclusively to hold courses.
Please rest assured that the event will be held with all necessary safety measures in place.
Please contact us with your desired date and time. We will get back to you after adjusting our schedule.
We are taking the following measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus:
■The instructor (1 person) will wear a mask, face cover, and gloves and will conduct the class while maintaining social distancing (2 meters).
■To improve ventilation, some of the windows at the top of the Moss Art Studio will be open. (If you need to protect yourself from the cold, please bring your own blankets, etc.)
■The studio will be cleaned with alcohol disinfectant before each class in accordance with government guidelines.
■Even on the day of the event, if the instructor or participant shows signs of illness, the event will be canceled. (If the instructor cancels the event, a full refund will be given.)
■All participants must wear a mask. Please cooperate by using alcohol disinfectant before entering and leaving the venue.
■At the request of Ibaraki Prefecture, we are recording the time of entry of all visitors to Moss Art Studio (they will be registered in the prefecture's system "Ibaraki Amabie-chan" to prevent infection).
The Japan Moss Art Association, a general incorporated association, holds "Moss Art Experience Courses" for beginners , and "Instructor Training Courses" for those who want to become instructors or learn more about the world of moss.
In the moss art experience course, we have prepared various experience courses that will allow you to experience the fun of making moss art, such as moss terrariums, moss balls, works that combine moss with everyday items, moss art for kids, etc. The instructors will provide careful support, so even beginners can participate with confidence!
During the course, you will create your own original work based on the sample work. You can take home the art you created! Please enjoy the healing time interacting with moss to your heart's content.

What should I bring?
Please come dressed in clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. It would be a good idea to bring an apron or similar. (If you are concerned about getting your hands dirty, please bring rubber gloves.)

Of course, you can participate by yourself! Most of the students are participating alone. Please rest assured that our friendly and cheerful instructors will provide you with full support. Let's have fun together!

There is no age limit, but children of elementary school age or younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Don't worry! The instructor will teach you carefully one by one. There is no problem if you just come with the intention of having fun!
